KT Tunstall

Kate Victoria Tunstall known as KT Tunstall is Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist, born on June 23, 1975 in St. Andrews, Scotland. Tunstall was adopted eighteen days after the birth. It’s known that her biological parents were an Irish father and half-Chinese, half-Scottish mother. Her new family wasn’t interested in music at all and they didn’t have any records, but Kate learnt to play guitar, piano and flute. She created her first group The Happy Camper right after the high school. The she played in indie bands Elia Drew and Tomoko, being focused on songwriting. She released her debut solo album Eye to the Telescope in 2004. The album spawned a hit single Black Horse and the Cherry Tree.
