Katharine McPhee

American pop and R&B singer, songwriter and actress Katharine McPhee was born on March 25, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, United States. She has been singing since the age of two. Her mother, Patricia Burch McPhee (stage name Peisha Arten), a vocal coach and accomplished cabaret singer, recognized her daughter's musical talent and decided to train her. She became popular as a contestant on the fifth season of the Fox reality show American Idol. In 2007, she released her self-titled debut album, Katharine McPhee, which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200. The album's lead singles, "Over It", debuted at number 44 on Billboard Pop 100 Airplay chart and peaked at number 27. The song's music video hit number 1 n MTV Asia's Pop 10 Chart.
