Kate Walsh

English pop and folk singer-songwriter Kate Walsh was born on February 2, 1977, in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex, United Kingdom. She was surrounded by a wide variety of music while growing up, from her father's Pink Floyd records to her brother's electronic music. In 2003, she released her debut album, Clocktower Park, which produced several singles such as "Aniamls On Fire", "Impressionable", "Holes in My Jacket" and "Quicksand". But she achieved mainstream success with her second album, Tim's House (2007), which quickly became the number 1 album on the UK iTunes Store. This album also produced two biggest hits, "Your Song" and "Talk of the Town". She also became one of the U.K.'s most celebrated newcomers after the release of her album, Tim's House, though to the surprise of many, it wasn't her first record.
