Kasey Chambers

Kasey Chambers is an Australian alternative country music singer-songwriter and musician born on June 4, 1976 in Australia. She began her music career in the family band the Dead Ringer Band. It composes of her father steel guitar player Bill Chambers and her brother Nash Chambers. Bill wrote most part of the band’s songs. The band was singed by EMI and they rose to prominence quite quickly and won several awards, like Golden Guitar and Mo Award. Kasey began her solo career in 1999 releasing her debut album The Captain. She reached mainstream success immediately. The album was certified 2 x Multi-Platinum in Australia, reached number one on the Australian country chart and earned Chambers ARIA award for “Best Country Album”.
