Kamchatka

Kamchatka is a Swedish rock trio formed in Varberg, Sweden in 2004. The band’s members are Thomas Juneor Andersson - guitar, vocals, Roger Öjersson - bass, vocals and Tobias Strandvik – drums. The band’s name was taken from Russian volcanic peninsula Kamchatka. Trio has been highly influenced by the blues groups of the late 1960s, beginning of the 1970s. Their music incorporates different elements from such genres like blues-rock, stoner rock and psychedelic rock. Many artists inspired and influenced the band including Devo, King Crimson, Kyuss, Chet Baker, Cactus and others. The guitar sound can be compared with the one of Led Zeppelin, Cream and The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The band has released three albums so far – Kamchatka (2005), Volume II (2007) and Volume III (2009). You can download Kamchatka’s second album Volume II in mp3 from our site.
