Jose Gonzalez

Jose Gonzalez is a Swedish indie folk singer-songwriter of Argentine origin. He was born near Gothenburg and his parents moved to Sweden in 1976. He grew up listening to Latin pop and folk and he was influenced a lot by Silvio Rodriguez who he cites as his favorite artist. Jose began his music career playing in hardcore punk band Back Against the Wall. Later he played bass guitar in another hardcore punk band Renascence. In 2003, he released his debut solo album Veneer. The album reached number 7 in the UK and number 86 in Australia. His trademark is a classical acoustic guitar and soft melody.
