American hard rock musician, songwriter and actor Jon Bon Jovi (birth name John Francis Bongiovi, Jr.) was born on March 2, 1962, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, US. He is best known as the lead singer and founder of rock band Bon Jovi. He spent most of his adolescence bunking school to opt for music activities instead and he ended up playing in local bands with friends and his cousin Tony who owned the then famous New York recording studio, the Power Station. As a result, his academic records displayed less than spectacular achievements and poor grades. By the time he was 16, Jon was playing clubs. Throughout his career, he has released two solo albums and eleven studio albums with his band which have sold over 120 million albums worldwide. In 1990, he released his solo debut album, Blaze of Glory, which produced several singles such as "Miracle", "Blaze of Glory", "Never Say Die" and "Bang a Drum".
