John Michael Montgomery

American country music artist John Michael Montgomery was born on January 20, 1965, in Danville, Kentucky. He started his music career as a guitarist of the family band. Later, he began to perform at the local clubs as a vocalist. There he caught the attention of a manager from the record company. As a result, he quickly signed to Atlantic Records. He emerged on the American country music scene in the early 1990s with his breakthrough debut album, Life's a Dance, which yielded his first hit singles such as "Life's a Dance", "When Your Baby Ain't Around", "Line on Love" and "I Love the Way You Love Me". Following the success of his debut work, he released Kickin' It Up, which reached number one on the Billboard 200.
