John William Coltrane, known as John Coltrane was a famous American saxophonist and composer born on September 23, 1926 in Hamlet, North Carolina, the United States and died on July 17, 1967 in Huntington, New York. He is one of the most influential saxophonists of the second half of the 20th century. Along with Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington and Miles Davis, he is one of the greatest figures in the jazz music history who influenced many modern musicians and on the improvisation school in general. He was almost unknown during 40s, and the peak of his music career was at the end of 1950s, beginning of 1960s. During that time, he created most of his major albums like «A Love Supreme», «Coltrane Jazz» and «Giant Steps».
