Joan Osborne

Joan Elizabeth Osborne is an American singer-songwriter born on July 8, 1962 in Anchorage, Kentucky, the United States. Her style can be classified as rock, folk, country rock and blues. Joan was raised as catholic and this influenced a lot on her works. She moved to New York where she created her own independent label Womanly Hips and released her debut album Soul Show through it. Later, she was signed to Mercury Records. She rose to fame with her second album Relish that was released in 1995. The album was supported by a hit single One of Us. This song was written by Eric Bazilian specially for the album Relish. The single reached number 1 in Australia, number 6 in the UK, number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
