Joan Jett, birth name Joan Marie Larkin was born on September 22, 1958 in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. She is a famous American rock guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer and actress. She was inspired by Suzi Quatro and interacted with her in Los Angeles where she moved in order to pursue music career. She founded The Runaways rock band with drummer Sandy West. The band was popular in Europe, UK, Asia, Australia, Canada and toured a lot. In 1979 the band disbanded and Joan started a solo career. In the U.K. she recorded a cover for “I Love Rock’n’Roll”.
