JLS, or Jack the Lad Swing, are a British boyband formed in 2007. The band is known as runners-up at the fifth season of the popular TV show The X Factor. They lost only to Alexandra Burke. The band’s line-up composes of Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Jonathan "JB" Gill and Oritsé Williams. The band signed to Epic Records and enjoyed great success releasing their debut self-titled album. The album JLS was released in 2009 and quickly gained the smashing popularity in the UK and Ireland. It topped UK Albums chart, UK R&B chart, and Irish Albums chart. The album was certified 3 x Platinum in the UK. It spawned two hit singles number one "Beat Again" and "Everybody in Love". “One Shot” reached number 6 on the UK Singles chart.
