J. Holiday

Nahom Grymes, better known under his stage name J. Holiday is an American R&B and hip hop singer-songwriter born on December 12, 1982 in Washington D.C., the United States. He has been into music since his childhood and has been listening to such famous musicians like Tupak Shakur, Marvin Gaye, Boyz II Men and Jodeci. He cites Marvin Gaye to be his major influence. Right after finishing school, Grymes went to the studio recording demo tapes. He also organized his own band “295”. The music of his band caught an ear of Anthony Tate who singed them to Capitol Records. Since that time Grymes has recorded two studio albums. The debut album Back of My Lac’ was released in 2007.
