Impressions

The Impressions are an American music group from Chicago. The band was founded in 1958. Originally the name of the band was The Roosters. The debut lineup composed of Sam Gooden, Richard Brooks, Arthur Brooks, Jerry Butler and Curtis Mayfield. Later the band changed the name was known as Jerry Butler & the Impressions. The current members are Fred Cash, Sam Gooden, Reggie Torian. The band is known for their 60s hits. The group is inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Vocal Group Hall of Fame and Grammy Hall of Fame. The band rose to fame with their hit single number – People Get Ready.
