Husker Du

Hüsker Dü was an American rock band formed in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the United States. The band was founded in 1979. The band’s core members were Grant Hart (drums), Bob Mould (guitar) and Greg Norton (bass). The band broke up in 1988. The band was very popular on the underground scene and achieved the contract with major label Warner Bros. Records, having become one of the few underground bands who could do that. As for their sound, they were linked to hardcore but during their career, the band developed more melodic sound and their later style can be describes as alternative rock. The band’s didn’t achieve the mainstream success, but they influenced many punk and rock bands. The band released six studio albums, two live albums, two extended plays and eleven singles.
