Esoteric

British extreme doom metal, avant-garde doom and experimental band Esoteric from Birmingham, was founded in 1992. The band comprises Greg Chandler (Vocals, Guitar), Gordon Bicknell (Guitar), Mark Bodossian (Bass), Joe Fletcher (Drums) and Kris Clayton (Guitar). In the early 1990s, they released their debut album, Esoteric Emotions - The Death of Ignorance, by themselves. This album attracted attention of Aesthetic Death record label and they quickly signed with it. In 1994, they released their following album, Epistemological Despondency, which included six tracks and received good reviews from critics. They achieved mainstream success in 2004 with their fourth album, Subconscious Dissolution into the Continuum, which yielded the singles such as "Morphia", "The Blood of the Eyes", "Grey Day" and "Arcane Dissolution".
