Envy on the Coast

Envy on the Coast is an American alternative rock band coming from Long Island, New York. The band was formed in 2004 on the remnants of some other Long Island bands – 3 Minute Warning, Kingston 12 and Guilt Like Gravity. The band changed their name several times and was known at the beginning as “Writ in Water” and “New Atlantic” and finally they stopped on Envy on the Coast. The band signed Photo Finish Records and released their debut album Lucy Gray in 2007. The title for the CD was taken from the poem by William Wordsworth. The band toured together with 30 Seconds to Mars, Cobra Starship and Head Automatica. They also toured in the UK supporting Halifax, Madina Lake and My American Heart.
