El Presidente
Scottish glam rock and pop rock band El Presidente (also well known as El Pres!dente) from Glasgow, was founded in 2002. The band's members are Dante Gizzi (Vocals, Backup Guitar), Laura Marks (Keyboard, Backup Vocals), Dawn Zhu (Drums), Johnny McGlynn (Guitar) and Thomas McNeice (Bass). Originally, this act was founded by Gizzi as a pop roсk group called Gun. Later, Marks and Zhu joined it and the act changed its name. At the beginning, they performed as an opening act for various popular rock bands and artists such as Oasis, Duran Duran and Kasabian among others. They rose to fame with their breakthrough self-tiled debut album, which yielded several singles such as "Rocket", "100 MPH", "Without You" and "Turn This Thing Around".
