Dwele

Dwele is an American singer and songwriter. He was born on 14 February 1978. His real name is Andwele Gardner. Dwele is from Detroit, Michigan. His musical genre is a mix of soul, R&B and jazz. Andwele started playing piano at the age of six. Besides, he plays the trumpet and guitar. His first demo "Rize" was recorded at home and its 100 copies were sold during a week. In 2002, Dwele and Slum Village recorded together one single, Tainted. It was included in Slum Village's album "Trinity (Past, Present and Future)". In 2003, Andwele Gardner released the debut album "Subject". It was performed in the genre of hip-hop. The song "Lady at Mahogany" is reminder of the frequent appearances in "Cafe Mahogany".
