Dillinger Escape Plan

The Dillinger Escape Plan is an American mathcore band formed in Morris Plains, New Jersey, the United States. The band was founded in 1997 as a hardcore punk act consisting of Ben Weinman, Dimitri Minakakis, and Chris Pennie. The current line-up composes of Ben Weinman – guitar, Liam Wilson – bass, Greg Puciato – vocals, Jeff Tuttle – guitar and Billy Rymer – drums. The band is the originator of their genre. They mixed new school hardcore, progressive metal and free jazz. The result was the genre that would become known as “mathcore”. During their career, the band has released four studio albums, one live album, five extended plays etc. The band’s albums charted not only in the United States, but in the UK and in France as well. The second album Miss Machine became their break as it entered the charts and reached number 2 on the US Heatseekers. The album Ire Works reached the top spot of the same chart.
