Die Toten Hosen is a German punk rock band formed in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1982. The band’s current members are Campino (Andreas Frege) - vocals, Andi (Andreas Meurer) – bass guitar, Breiti (Michael Breitkopf) - guitar, Kuddel (Andreas von Holst) - guitar and Vom (Stephen George Ritchie) – drums. The band’s name is a German idiom meaning “boredom”. The band is one of the most successful and popular German punk bands with total sales of more than 22 million copies. The band rose to fame with their hit single “Hier Kommt Alex” which became a soundtrack for the play “Clockwork Orange” based on the same-titled book by Anthony Burgess. The band have received multiple awards and was recognized as Best German band for many times. They have released quite a number of albums. The last band’s album In aller Stiller came out in 2008.
