Diary of Dreams is a German synthgotic and darkwave band formed in 1994 in Dusseldorf, Germany. The band’s founder, leader, songwriter and vocalist is Adrian Hates. He has written and has produced almost all albums alone with little help from other band’s members who are mostly invited only for live shows. The are Guan:A (guitar), D.N.S. (drums) and Torben Wendt (keyboards, Diorama’s vocalist). Adrian Hates, former bassist of Garden of Delights began his project in the late 80s when he wrote classical guitar composition Tagebuch der Träume. The name of his project came out of this composition and the debut album Cholymelan was released in 1994. After receiving a significant success, Hates founded his own record label Accession Records and released all the next albums through it.
