Diana Vickers

Diana Vickers is an English pop, indie pop and folktronica singer and occasional actress born on July 30, 1991 in Blackburn, England. She rose to the national prominence as the semi-finalist at the popular TV talent show The X Factor. During her participation in the show she performed Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, U2’s With or Without You, Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror, Coldplay’s Yellow, R.E.M.’s Everybody Hurts, Avril Lavigne’s Girlfriend and other songs. After the X Factor, she signed to RCA Records and began working on her debut album. Her first record Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree was released in May 2010. The album topped the UK Albums chart and became number 7 in Ireland. The album was supported by a hit single number one “Once” (#1 in the UK).
