Desecration is a British death metal band, formed in Newport, Wales, the UK in 1992. The band’s current line-up composes of three members - Ollie Jones – vocals and guitar, Michael Hourihan – drums, and Andi Morris – bass. The band rose to prominence in the middle of the 1990s with help of their infamous album Gore and Perversion. The album was banned by the authorities and the band members were arrested. The artwork wasn’t allowed to be printed even when the album was eventually released. So the album was released with a black cover and words "SORRY! Censored by the authorities. Original artwork can be obtained from Arctic Serenades. Send an IRC" on it. The band was asked to forget about music business, but this didn’t happen and they continue touring and releasing new albums.
