DC Talk (often dc Talk) is an American Christian music trio formed in Lynchburg, Virginia, the United States in 1987. The group composes of Toby McKeehan, Michael Tait and Kevin Max Smith. They cover such genres like Christian rock, hip-hop, and R&B. The band has been on hiatus since 2001. During their career, they have released 5 studio albums, 23 singles and 3 extended plays. The group gained their first popularity quite quickly right after the release of their debut self-titled album. It was certified Gold. The peak of the group’s career was in 1995. This year saw their 2 x Multi-Platinum album Jesus Freak. The album has become their debut on the Billboard 200 where it reached number 16.
