David Banner

Lavell William Crump , better known under his stage name David Banner, is an American rapper and record producer who was born on April 11, 1973 in Jackson, Mississippi, the United States. He graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and received his bachelors degree. He continued his education in University of Maryland to get a master’s degree but dropped his studies in favor of his music career. He began his music career at the beginning of the 2000s. The debut album Mississippi: the Album was released in 2003 through Universal Records. The album topped the Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart and reached number 9 on the Billboard 200.
