Dave Koz

Dave Koz is an American saxophonist born on March 27, 1963 in Encino, California, the United States. He has been into music since his childhood. His mom formed him to learn playing piano. Later, he witched on drums, but as he discovered that he wasn’t good at it, he gave it up. His brother had his own band and Dave always wanted to be in it. The band was completed and had all the musicians except for the saxophonist. That was the reason why Dave began learning to play that instrument. Very soon, he joined his brother on the stage and played gigs with the band. Koz received a degree in mass communication and decided to become a professional musician. He played with some artists and eventually decided to pursue a solo career. He achieved great popularity in his genre and his album Saxophonic was nominated for Grammy Award and NAACP Image Award.
