Darkest Hour

Darkest Hour is an American metalcore and melodic death metal band from Washington D.C. formed in 1995. The band’s current line-up composes of John Henry (vocals), Mike Schleibaum (guitar), Paul Burnette (bass guitar), Ryan Parrish (drums) and Mike Carrigan (guitar). The band’s breakthrough happened in 2003 when they released their album Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation. The album was produced by a well-known Swedish producer Fredrik Nordström and thus the album gained more attention from the critics and audience. As a result, the band featured Ozzfest 2004. The album featured political lyrics criticizing America’s politics after September 11. The band appeared in the documentary film Metal: A Headbanger's Journey.
