Dark Angel

American thrash metal band Dark Angel from Los Angeles, California, was formed in 1981. The band comprised Ron Rinehart (vocals), Eric Meyer (guitars), Danyael Williams (bass) and Gene Hoglan (drums). They played in local bars and clubs, acquiring a cult following in the metal underground. The band began recording and releasing several demos until 1985, when they released their debut studio album We Have Arrived. The band's debut album produced several singles such as "Merciless Death", "Falling from the Sky", "Welcome to the Slaughterhouse" and "No Tomorrow". The band's drummer Gene Hoglan also is considered to be among the best underground metal drummers in the world. The group disbanded in 1992, but decided to reform ten years later. However, Ron Rinehart's vocal issues forced them to cancel plans to tour further. The band has been on an indefinite hiatus since then.
