Crucifix

American hardcore punk and rock band Crucifix from Berkeley, California, was active from 1980 to 1984. The band comprised Sothira Pheng (Vocals), Jimmy Crucifix (Guitar), Bryce Kanights (Bass), Matt Borruso (Bass), Christopher Douglas (Drums), Drew Bernstein (Guitar) and Jake Smith (Guitar). They appeared on the American rock scene in the early 1980s with their debut self-titled EP, which brought the band a contract with Universal record label. After this deal, they began recording their debut album. Dehumanization was released in 1983 and it produced the singles, "How When Where", "Skinned Alive", "Prejudice", "No Limbs" and "Another Mouth to Feed". In 1997, the single "Prejudice" was covered by the American anarcho-punk and hardcore punk band Aus-Rotten.
