Cressida

Cressida was a British art and progressive rock band formed in the end of 1960s. The project was a short-living thing, as they disbanded in 1970. The original line-up composed of Peter Jennings (keyboards), Angus Cullen (vocals, guitar), John Heyworth (guitar), Kevin McCarthy (bass), and Ian Clark (drums). The band signed Vertigo Records. They released their debut eponymous album in 1970. Jennings also played organ and mellotron and they used this instrument in their recordings. The first performances were held in Germany, namely in Hamburg’s famous Star-Club. Other places where they played included Bratislava (then-Czechoslovakia), Belgium where they supported Black Sabbath and Rouen, France. John Heyworth has to leave the band’s due to serious personal problems. The second and the last album Asylum was released in 1971. You can download Cressida’s albums in mp3 from our site.
