Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero, better known under her stage name Connie Francis was born on December 12, 1938 in Newark, New Jersey,United States. She is an American pop and rock and roll singer who was very popular throughout the 1950s and 1960s. She tried to begin her music career but had a bad luck and the sales were very poor at first, so Francis was thinking about pursuing a career in medicine. However, her last recording for MGM was a real break through. The cover for “Who’s Sorry Now” quickly made popular and made her an international star. The song reached number on the UK Singles chart. Her other popular singles include "Stupid Cupid" / "Carolina Moon", "My Happiness", "Lipstick on Your Collar", "Mama" / "Robot Man", "Everybody's Somebody's Fool", "My Heart Has a Mind of Its Own" and many others.
