Cold War Kids

Cold War Kids are an American indie rock band formed in Long Beach, California, the United States in 2004. The band’s line-up composes of Nathan Willett (lead vocals, piano, guitar), Jonnie Russell (guitar, vocals, percussion), Matt Maust (bass guitar), and Matt Aveiro (drums). After the formation, the band started to record their demos which evolved later in two extended plays. The band released two EPs in 2006 and caught an eye of blogging community. All this led them to the contract with Downtown Records. The band released their debut long play Robbers & Cowards in 2006. The album peaked at number 35 on the UK Albums chart and at number 173 on the Billboard 200. Their next album Loyalty to Loyalty did much better in the US (#3 US Independent albums).
