Coeur De Pirate

Coeur de Pirate is a stage name of Canadian indie pop singer-songwriter Béatrice Martin. She was born on September 22, 1989 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She started to play piano when she was only three years old. In her teens, she was a keyboardist in a post hardcore band December Strikes First and for the band Bonjour Brumaire. She left the band and decided to embark on a solo career. The debut album Coeur de Pirate was released in 2008 through Grosse Boîte. The album attracted the attention of the public not only in Canada but abroad as well. The album charted in France, Belgium and Switzerland. The album reached number 1 in France according to digital downloads. The album was supported by two singles Comme des enfants and Pour un infidèle.
