Chokehold

Chokehold was a Vegan straight edge hardcore/punk band from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada formed in 1990. The band consisted of Chris, Matt, Matt S., Jeff, Jon, Josh and of Sandy. They quickly released their debut work, that was More Than Ever demo tape issued in 1991. The band got the reputation of one of the heaviest in hardcore. The rise of their popularity paralleled with other bands like Earth Crisis, Vegan Reich and Raid. In 1993 the band released their debut LP titled Prison of Hope. The album was released through an American label Conquer the World Records. The second LP, named Content with Dying was released in two years. The album featured the most controversial song of the group “Not a Solution”. You can download this Chokehold’s album in mp3 from our site. The band dissolved in 1996.
