Cassius

French house and electronic music band Cassius from Paris, was formed in 1988. The band comprises only two members: Philippe Zdar and Boom Bas. Originally, this band was known under the name La Funk Mob. They emerged on the French electronic music scene in the mid-1990 with their hit single, "Foxxy". In the late 1990s, they released their mainstream hit, "Cassius 1999", which brought the band a contract with Virgin Records. It also reached number seven on the UK Top 40 chart. At the same year, they released their breakthrough debut album, 1999, which yielded their other biggest hit, "Feeling for You", which peaked at number ten on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play chart.
