Carl Perkins

Carl Lee Perkins was an American rockabilly singer, songwriter and guitarist born on April 9, 1932 in Tiptonville, Tennessee, USA and died on January 19, 1998 in Jackson, Tennessee. He became one of the most influential rockabilly singers and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Rockabilly Songwriters Hall of Fame and into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. His songs were recorded by such famous artists like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and the Beatles. The Rolling Stone put him on the 69th place in their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He is known best of all for such songs like «Blue Suede Shoes», «Gone Gone Gone», «Matchbox», «Honey Don't», «Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby», «Glad All Over» and others.
