Cacophony

Cacophony was an American metal band formed in San Francisco, California, the United States in 1986. The band was founded by guitarists Marty Friedman and Jason Baker. The band’s style can be classified as heavy metal, speed metal and neo-classical. The band featured also other members like Peter Marrino - vocals, Jimmy O'Shea - bass, Atma Anur - drums, but the line-up wasn’t stable. The band split in 1989 when Freidman went to join successful metal act Megadeth and Becker joined the solo band of David Lee Roth. The band released two studio albums. The debut release Speed Metal Symphony came out in 1987 and was released through Shrapnel records. The second and the last album Go Off! was released in 1988.
