Bun B

American rapper Bun B (birth name Bernard Freeman) was born on March 19, 1972, in Port Arthur, Texas. In the late 1980s, he and fellow rapper Chad "Pimp C" Butler founded UGK band. In 1993, they were signed with Jive Records. They released their breakthrough debut album, Too Hard to Swallow, on this record label. This album became number one among several best-selling Southern rap albums. In 2000, he also formed the side project Mddl Fngz. Later, he decided to concentrate on his solo career. He achieved mainstream success as a solo singer with his breakthrough debut album, Trill, which debuted at number 6 on the Billboard 200. This album also yielded the singles, "Draped Up" featuring Lil' Keke, the "Draped Up" (Remix) featuring Slim Thug, Lil' Keke, Chamillionaire, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Aztek, Z-Ro & Lil' Flip and "Git It" featuring Ying Yang Twins.
