Bucky Pizzarelli

American jazz, swing and big band guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli (birth name John Paul Pizzarelli) was born on January 9, 1926, in Paterson, New Jersey U.S. He is also well known as "Bucky". At the age of seventeen, he joined the Vaughn Monroe dance pop band. In the early 1950s, he worked as a staff musician for NBC. During that time, he had professional relationship with the American popular pianist, conductor, and composer Skitch Henderson. A decade later, he joined the Doc Severinsen band and performed on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In the early 1980s, he released one of his most successful albums, Love Songs, which produced his popular hit singles such as "You must believe in spring", "Bad and the beautiful", "Last night when we were young", "Sophisticated lady Prelude to a kiss" and "Smoke gets in your eyes".
