American actor, producer and singer Bruce Willis (birth name Walter Bruce Willis) was born on March 19, 1955, in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany. His career began in television in the 1980s and has continued both in television and film since then, including comedic, dramatic, and action roles. He has also appeared in over sixty films, including Pulp Fiction, Sin City, 12 Monkeys, Armageddon, and The Sixth Sense. In 1987, he released his debut album, The Return of Bruno, which peaked at number 14 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album's lead single, "Respect Yourself", received considerable airplay, peaking at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Following singles, "Young Blood" and "Under the Boardwalk", did not fare nearly as well, peaking at number 68 and number 59, respectively.
