Brian Jones

English rhythm and blues, rock and roll, psychedelic rock and pop musician Brian Jones (born Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones; 28 February 1942 – 3 July 1969) was one of the founding members of the worldwide popular English rock band The Rolling Stones. He was born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. As a teenager, he was inspired by jazz music and often listen to the Cannonball Adderley's music. During that time, he also studied playing the saxophone and guitar. In the early 1960s, he moved to London to develop his musical skills. There he met Alexis Korner, Paul Jones and bassist Jack Bruce. As a result, they created The Rolling Stones band. In the early 1970s, he released his breakthrough solo record entitled Brian Jones Presents - The Pipes Of Pan At Jajouka which produced his most popular hits, "55 (Hamsa Oua Hamsine)", "War Song - Standing - One Half (Kaim Oua Nos)" and "Take Me With You My Darling, Take Me With You".
