Brendan Benson

Brendan Benson is an American rock singer, songwriter and musician born on November 14, 1970 in Royal Oak, Michigan, the United States. He is known as part of the band the Raconteurs and as a solo artist. He plays guitar, bass guitar, keyboards and drums. He was influenced by such artists like David Bowie, the Who, the Kinks, Paul McCartney and others. He has released four solo albums and two albums with the Raconteurs. He didn’t reach the mainstream and commercial success with his recordings, however he played at Reading and Leeds Festival and toured quite a lot around the UK, US and Europe. His album the Alternative to Love reached number 70 on the UK Albums chart. The last album "My Old, Familiar Friend” was released in 2009.
