Blue Merle

Blue Merle was an American band from Nashville, Tennessee. It was formed in 2003 by Luke Reynolds and Jason Oettel. After they met each other, the twosome began working together and as they had a time in the studio, they started recording. During their time in the studio, the President of Sony Publishing happened to be there and he offered them a contract. The twosome invited other musicians to fill the band – Luke Bulla on fiddle, William Ellis on drums and Beau Stapleton on mandolin. The band’s style can be classified as folk, acoustic, pop and bluegrass. The band released their debut album Burning in the Sun in 2005. The album spawned three singles – “Burning in the Sun”, "Every Ship Must Sail Away", and "Lucky To Know You". You can download this album by Blue Merle in mp3 from our site.
