Blockhead

Blockhead is an American producer from Manhattan, New York. His real name is James Anthony Simon. During his career, he used other monikers like Tony Simon, T. Simon, Tones, Toneslap. He is a son of well-known sculptor in New York City, Sydney Simon. Blockhead's genre is a mix of instrumental, electronic, rap, trip-hop and hip-hop. His solo albums were issued under the label Ninja Tune. The first solo album, Music by Cavelight, was released in 2004. In 2009, the fourth solo The Music Scene album was released. Anthony works as a producer for Aesop Rock. The label released many albums including Appleseed, Bazooka Tooth and Fast Cars, Danger, Fire and Knives.
