Blessid Union of Souls, also known just as Blessid Union is an American rock band from Morrow, Ohio, the United States. The band was founded in 1990 by two friends Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The current band members are Eliot Sloan, Tony Clark, Bryan Billhimer and Shaun Schaefer. The band’s sound can be classified as alternative rock and jungle pop. The band’s lyrics often raise the problem of relationships between people. The band was signed by EMI Records in 1992. The debut album Home was released in 1995 and earned them the first success. The album was supported by a hit single “I Believe”. In total, the band has released six albums. The last album is titled Close to the Edge (2008).
