American pop, soul and electro pop singer-songwriter and beatboxer Blake Lewis (birth name Blake Colin Lewis) was born on July 21, 1981, in Bothell, Washington, U.S. In high school, he participated in many high school state competitions . He also took part in numerous musicals, as well as comedy and rap videos with his friends. In many of these videos, he portrayed his alter ego, Jimmie Walker Blue, the character he introduced during the semi-final round of American Idol. He is also known as the runner-up on the sixth season of American Idol behind winner Jordin Sparks. He rose to fame in 2007 with his debut album, A.D.D.
