Birds of Prey

American death metal band Birds of Prey from Richmond, Virginia, were formed in 2005. The band comprises Ben Hogg, Erik Larson, Bo Leslie, Summer Welch and Dave Witte. They emerged on the American metal scene with their debut album, Weight of the Wound, which was not a huge commercial success but received positive reviews from critics. Two years later, they released their second album, Sulfur and Semen, which became their break. It yielded several singles such as "Show Him The Ground", "Mentoring The Mongoloids (Return to the Attic)", "Turning Big Rocks Into Little Rocks" and "Murder The Homeless/ Burn the Upper Class". In 2009, they released their third and latest album, The Hellpreacher, which spawned the singles, "Tempt the Disciples", "Taking on our Winter Blood" and "The Excavation".
