Billy Gilman

William Wendell Gilman III, known better as Billy Gilman is an American country music singer, born on May 24 1988 in Hope Valley, Rhode Island, the United States. He debuted on the music scene at the age of 12 in 2000. His debut single “One voice” reached the top 20 on the Billboard Country music chart and Gilman has become the youngest artist to make a single chart so high. The same-titled album was released by Epic Records next year. It was certified 2 x Multi-Platinum and reached number 2 on the Top Country Albums. In 2002, he was named American Music Awards' favorite new country artist. Gilman’s next album Dare to Dream was certified Gold but his follow-up released failed to reach any status as the sales were very poor.
