Billy Corgan

William Patrick Corgan Jr., known better as Billy Corgan is an American musician, singer-songwriter, record producer and author born on March 17, 1967 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, the United States. He is known primary as vocalist and lead guitarist of the American alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins. The band reached a great popularity and commercial success and Corgan rose to fame being its member. The band disbanded in 2000 and after that, Corgan decided to pursue a solo career and in addition formed a short-lived project Zwan. At that time, he also released a collection of his poetry. The only solo album The Future Embrace was released in 2005. The album received mixed reviews and didn’t sell well. He toured with backing musicians in order to support the album.
